Bihar Hosts BPSC Prelims Today; 480,000 Candidates Set to Participate

Patna, Dec 13 (NationPress) The 70th Preliminary Combined Examination by the Bihar Public Service Commission is scheduled to take place across 912 centres in the state on Friday.
This examination aims to fill 2,031 positions in multiple government sectors. A remarkable 4.80 lakh candidates have registered for this exam, which is set to commence at noon and conclude at 2:00 p.m.
The commission has put forth specific instructions for candidates participating in the examination.
The instructions include: "Candidates must bring two printed copies of their admit card, with the invigilator retaining one, and it is essential to present original identification. The use of electronic devices, such as smartwatches, along with items like correction fluids or pencils, is strictly forbidden. Only blue/black pens are permitted."
To prevent any unauthorized communication, jammers have been installed at every centre, which will be monitored by CCTV. Candidates are urged to follow these guidelines diligently to facilitate a smooth examination experience.
BPSC Chairman Parmar Ravi Manu Bhai has emphasized the implementation of stringent security measures to uphold a fair examination process.
He stated that four different sets of question papers have been prepared to deter any potential leaks. Each set comprises up to 10 series, featuring variations in the number of questions and their corresponding answer choices.
"The final set to be utilized will be determined by a lottery held three hours prior to the exam at the commission office. The chosen set will be uniformly distributed at all examination centres," he explained.
All examination centres in every district are under strict supervision. To ensure the orderly execution of the examinations, police officers will be present alongside magistrates at the venues.
District administrations have been instructed to prevent any gatherings near examination sites. Additionally, all photocopy shops in proximity to the centres will remain closed throughout the examination period.
These measures, combined with CCTV surveillance and bans on electronic devices, are designed to guarantee a fair and secure examination process across the state.
