Patna, Feb 26 (NationPress) The newly appointed BJP ministers in Bihar, sworn in on Wednesday, have committed to advancing the developmental agenda of the party in light of the upcoming Assembly elections.

Senior BJP MLA Jibesh Kumar Mishra, now a minister for the second time, emphasized the urgency with the elections approaching and called for collective effort towards development.

After his swearing-in, Mishra expressed that they would contest the elections under the able guidance of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar along with his deputies Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha.

He confidently stated that the NDA is poised to secure over 200 seats in the forthcoming elections, attributing this to their developmental accomplishments.

Additionally, minister Raju Kumar Singh expressed gratitude to the party for its trust and assured that he would serve with utmost dedication.

He also mentioned the limited timeframe they have to demonstrate their capabilities, pledging to fulfill any responsibilities assigned by the party.

BJP minister Sanjay Saraogi echoed similar sentiments, promising to undertake their duties with integrity and commitment.

Previously, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar expanded his cabinet by including seven BJP MLAs.

The new BJP ministers include Sanjay Saraogi, a five-term MLA from Darbhanga, who is a notable leader within the Marwari community and took his oath in Maithili.

Sunil Kumar, elected five times from Bihar Sharif, is associated with the Koeri caste and transitioned from JD-U to BJP in 2015.

Jibesh Kumar Mishra, representing Jale, belongs to the Bhumihar community and has prior ministerial experience, also swearing in Maithili.

Raju Kumar Singh represents Sahebganj in Muzaffarpur and is from the Rajput caste, previously affiliated with Vikassheel Insan Party before joining BJP.

Motilal Prasad serves as the MLA from Riga, Sitamarhi, and is part of the Vaishya community.

Krishna Kumar Mantu, from Amnour in Saran, belongs to the Kurmi caste and recently organized a prominent ‘Kurmi Chetna Rally’ in Patna.

Vijay Kumar Mandal, from the Sikti assembly constituency in Araria, belongs to the Kewat community, categorized under the extremely backward classes.

With this expansion, the Nitish Kumar council of ministers now includes 37 members, with the BJP's representation increasing from 16 to 22, while JD-U retains 13 ministers, including the Chief Minister, alongside one from Hindustani Awam Morcha and an independent minister.

The Assembly elections in Bihar are slated for the end of 2025.
