Patna, Oct 18 (NationPress) During the Bihar Assembly election campaign, the Chief Minister of Tripura, Manik Saha, voiced his optimism regarding the BJP's prospects in the forthcoming elections. He emphasized that the people of Bihar would not permit a return to the era of 'jungle raj' and would choose development, which is solely offered by the BJP.
Speaking at a large public gathering arranged for the nomination of BJP candidates from the Ramnagar and Bagaha assembly constituencies, Saha highlighted the impressive turnout as a sign of favorable outcomes in next month’s elections.
“The citizens of Bihar will not allow jungle raj to resurface as they are eager for development, which can be achieved only by the BJP,” stated Saha, who also served as the former President of the BJP in Tripura.
He asserted that BJP candidates would secure substantial victories, pointing to the enthusiastic crowd as evidence.
“I extend my gratitude to everyone. Bihar has 243 constituencies, with elections scheduled in two phases on November 6 and 11, and results to be declared on the 14th.
I am confident that with Prime Minister Narendra Modi by our side, we can anticipate the outcomes of November 14. In Champaran, there are nine seats, and the BJP will triumph in all,” said Saha.
He predicted remarkable results in Bihar this year, noting the excitement among the populace.
Saha pointed out that Champaran District is historically significant as the birthplace of the Satyagraha Movement initiated by Mahatma Gandhi.
He also mentioned that people in Tripura celebrate Bihar Diwas, adding, “Many individuals from Bihar reside in our state. I spent five years in Patna studying at a Dental Medical College, and I feel at home here. I have numerous friends in Patna.”
Declaring Bihar as the heart of India due to its abundant talents, Saha remarked, “In Tripura, we have the Tripura Sundari Maa temple, from which I sought blessings before coming here to secure all nine seats in Champaran.”
He recounted Tripura’s troubled past, which was transformed under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi in 2018 when the state was liberated from CPI-M rule.
“Currently, terrorism has been eradicated, and Tripura is on a trajectory of development. This transformation was made possible thanks to PM Modi,” he emphasized, adding that Tripura now follows the HIRA model (Highways, Internet, Railways, Airways) for comprehensive development.
Saha praised the knowledge of Bihar’s populace, highlighting that farmers are reaping benefits from central schemes. He expressed that Bihar has experienced significant development recently, which must continue.
He stated that efforts are being made to realize Viksit Bharat by 2047, with Bihar playing a pivotal role.
“We remember the jungle raj during Lalu Prasad Yadav’s era, and the people will not accept a return to that dark period. The BJP is the only party that can guarantee development. I urge everyone to rise early and vote for our BJP MLA candidates to propel Bihar towards progress,” he concluded.
