Agartala, Nov 14 (NationPress) Tripura's Chief Minister Manik Saha remarked on Friday that the citizens of Bihar have collectively prevented the resurgence of 'jungle raj' by casting their votes in favor of development under the NDA.
In response to the current vote counting for the Bihar Assembly elections, the Tripura CM asserted that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is on track for a significant triumph in Bihar, emphasizing that the electorate has turned its back on the 'jungle raj' and 'gundaraj' linked to Lalu Prasad Yadav, the leader of the RJD.
He also indicated that West Bengal is poised for substantial political transformation in the upcoming elections early next year.
During a media interaction held at the inauguration and foundation stone laying for infrastructure and associated facilities at a private university near Agartala, CM Saha expressed his optimism regarding the electoral climate in Bihar.
"A significant victory is anticipated in Bihar. I personally campaigned in three assembly constituencies in the Champaran region. My information suggests that the NDA is leading in all three seats. This is merely the beginning of what is forthcoming," he stated.
He extended his congratulations to the central leadership, saying, "I wish to commend Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, the entire team led by National BJP President and Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda, along with Union Home Minister Amit Shah for their collaborative effort resulting in this remarkable outcome. Lalu ji (former Bihar CM) and his associates cannot reclaim power as the populace is fully aware of their misdeeds and gundaraj, which they reject."
CM Saha, who previously served as the BJP state President in Tripura, remarked: "During my campaign in Bihar last month, I was entirely confident that the populace would not permit the return of 'jungle raj' as they seek development, which is only possible through the BJP."
Describing West Bengal as the "next target of the BJP", CM Saha stated, "A transformation is imminent in Bengal. If Bengal can be liberated, the entire perception of India will undergo a significant change."
His comments arrive at a time of ongoing political discussions in several crucial states where the NDA aspires to broaden its reach.
A multitude of BJP leaders, members, and karyakartas commemorated the party's electoral success in Bihar.
Former Minister Bhagaban Das, state BJP Vice-President Papia Datta, district President Asim Bhattacharjee, and media-cell in-charge Sunit Sarkar were among those present at the 'Bijoy Utsav' (festival of victory).
