Patna, Feb 13 (NationPress) The Bihar government, led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, executed a transfer of 12 IAS officers on Wednesday.

Several officers were also given additional responsibilities across different departments.

The General Administration Department has circulated a notification regarding these transfers and postings on Wednesday.

Among the officers, Udayan Mishra, who served as the Director of Science, Technology, and Technical Education, has been elevated to Special Secretary of the Tourism department while also taking on the role of Tourism Director.

Pawan Kumar Sinha, a Land Settlement Officer in Jamui district, has been reassigned as Additional Secretary of the Water Resources Department.

Shyam Bihari Meena, who was the Director of Planning and Training, has stepped down from his position as Director of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Welfare Department.

Rajesh Kumar, a Purnia District Settlement Officer, has received a promotion to Additional Secretary in the Parliamentary Affairs Department of the Bihar government.

Abhay Jha, a 2017 batch IAS officer, previously held the position of Managing Director at Bihar State Text Book Prakash Nigam Ltd. He has now been appointed as Joint Secretary of the Rural Works Department.

Yogesh Kumar Sagar, also from the 2017 batch and previously Managing Director of Bihar Urban Infrastructure Development Corporation, is now the Director of the Social Welfare Department with additional responsibilities as Joint Secretary of the Social Welfare Department.

Dinesh Kumar, the Bhagalpur Divisional Commissioner, has been entrusted with an Additional Charge as Commissioner of the Munger Division.

Animesh Kumar Parashar, the Commissioner of Patna Municipal Corporation, has been assigned an Additional Charge as Managing Director of Bihar Urban Infrastructure Corporation.

Ahmed Mahmood, serving as Additional Secretary of Science, Technology, and Technical Education, now has an Additional Charge as Director of Technical Education.
