Patna, April 15 (NationPress) Former Chief Minister and Rajya Sabha member Nitish Kumar expressed his heartfelt congratulations to Samrat Choudhary following Choudhary's swearing-in as the 24th Chief Minister of Bihar on Wednesday.

The establishment of this new government signifies the dawn of a new political chapter in Bihar, as Samrat Choudhary becomes the first BJP leader to assume the role of CM in the state. Alongside him, Vijay Kumar Chaudhary and Vijendra Prasad Yadav from JD(U) have been appointed as Deputy Chief Ministers in the fresh cabinet.

In a message shared on the social media platform X, Nitish Kumar stated, “Warmest congratulations and best wishes to Samrat Choudhary for his oath-taking today as the new Chief Minister of Bihar. I am assured that under your stewardship, Bihar will progress even more swiftly and achieve a position among the nation’s most developed states.”

It is significant to note that Nitish Kumar had submitted his resignation on April 14, marking a notable end to a prolonged political era. After meeting the Governor and formally resigning, he reached out to the people of Bihar via a detailed message on X, reflecting on his time in office and the state's developmental journey.

In his communication, Nitish Kumar highlighted the formation of the NDA government on November 24, 2005, which ushered in a focus on governance and development.

He stressed that his administration worked diligently for the benefit of all societal segments—across caste, class, and religion—ensuring inclusive growth.

He pointed out advancements in crucial sectors such as education, healthcare, infrastructure, electricity, and agriculture, along with initiatives dedicated to women and youth. He noted that these initiatives have been expanded recently, particularly with the ambitious ‘7 Nishchay-3’ (Seven Resolves-3) program set for 2025-2030.

This strategic plan, he mentioned, aims to expedite Bihar’s progress and elevate it to new levels.
