Patna, Jan 1 (NationPress) Bihar welcomed the New Year with vibrant celebrations as the festive spirit initiated on December 31 continued into Thursday.
During this jubilant occasion, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and various senior officials conveyed their New Year greetings to the citizens of both the state and the nation.
In a message shared on X, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar expressed, "Warmest congratulations and best wishes to everyone in the state and the country on this New Year. I pray that this year brings joy, tranquility, wealth, unity, and endless achievements for all. Through our collective dedication, the goal of creating a happy, prosperous, and illustrious Bihar will be realized."
Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary also shared his well-wishes via X, stating, "Warmest congratulations and best wishes to all the people of the country and the state on the #English_New_Year 2026. May this New Year usher in happiness, prosperity, good health, and renewed energy for every village, city, and family in Bihar. A long line of devotees was seen outside the Hanuman Temple at Patna Junction, extending up to R-Block Golambar. Similar scenes unfolded at the Rajvanshi Nagar Hanuman Temple and both Badi and Choti Patan Devi temples, where devotees gathered in large numbers.
Sikh devotees also congregated in significant numbers at the Takht Shri Harimandir Sahib Gurdwara in Patna, offering prayers for peace, prosperity, and well-being in the New Year.
