New Delhi, Nov 16 (NationPress) Just two days after the announcement of Assembly election results, Bihar's Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Vinod Singh Gunjiyal, presented the list of 243 newly elected members of the state Assembly to Governor Arif Mohammad Khan at the Raj Bhavan in Patna on Sunday.
“The Chief Electoral Officer of Bihar, Vinod Singh Gunjyal, along with Principal Secretary of the Election Commission of India, Arvind Anand, submitted the list of elected officials and the notification issued by the Election Commission to the Governor of Bihar, Arif Mohammad Khan, following the Bihar Legislative Assembly General Election-2025,” the CEO of Bihar stated on its X handle.
The list contained names of all candidates, including 202 from NDA, 34 from Mahagathbandhan, as well as representatives from AIMIM, Indian Inclusive Party, and Bahujan Samaj Party.
Significantly, NDA leaders expressed gratitude to the citizens of Bihar after receiving a decisive mandate in the Assembly elections, claiming that the outcomes signify the populace's support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's vision for the state's progress.
During a gathering at the BJP headquarters on Friday evening, PM Modi highlighted his two main requests to the Bihar electorate: to vote in large numbers and to provide a strong mandate to the NDA.
He remarked that the citizens of Bihar responded positively, granting the NDA a strong mandate. “The residents of Bihar voted for a developed Bihar. They voted for a prosperous Bihar. Throughout the campaign, I urged the people of Bihar to achieve record voter turnout, and they have surpassed all expectations. I called for a significant win for the NDA, and the people of Bihar answered that call,” he stated.
In a critique of the MY (Muslim-Yadav) coalition promoted by the Rashtriya Janata Party (RJD), he noted that the youth of Bihar have adopted a new MY formula that aligns with their aspirations. He also praised the party's grassroots workers for their exceptional efforts that contributed to a resounding mandate for the alliance.
