Key Takeaways
Patna, Jan 30 (NationPress) Bihar's Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Revenue and Land Reforms, Vijay Kumar Sinha, has ramped up his efforts to combat the land mafia and corruption within the department, asserting that he will remain steadfast against any form of pressure or intimidation.
During a recent address, Sinha expressed his commitment to this cause with unwavering determination.
“I have embarked on this journey with a shroud wrapped around my head. I fear no one,” he declared, emphasizing his intention to take strong action against corruption and illicit land activities.
Vijay Kumar Sinha noted that he has previously faced criminal elements in his constituency during elections and emerged victorious.
This experience has fortified his resolve to confront the land mafia, intermediaries, and corrupt officials that have infiltrated the revenue system.
“Inspired by the principles of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, I am committed to this difficult path. I will not permit the land mafia or corrupt officials to continue their unlawful practices,” he stated.
The Deputy Chief Minister emphasized that any departmental personnel who impede actions against the land mafia are indirectly aiding them.
“Honest officers serving the public interest will face no issues. However, those who ally with the mafia will encounter strict repercussions,” he cautioned.
Recently, at a Land Reform Public Dialogue Program, Sinha warned that Circle Officers (COs) and other officials could be suspended if found guilty.
He clarified that actions would be taken strictly based on evidence, with zero tolerance for irregularities in the land and revenue department.
The primary goal of his campaign is to ensure transparent, effective, and people-centric land reforms.
Through public dialogue initiatives, citizens will be directly connected with the department to promptly address land-related issues.
As part of this initiative, Vijay Kumar Sinha will host a Land Reform Public Dialogue Program in Darbhanga, located in the Mithilanchal region on Friday.
This program aims to educate people about their land rights, resolve outstanding land disputes, and provide immediate solutions wherever feasible.
Sinha’s assertive stance has generated considerable enthusiasm among residents and land stakeholders throughout Bihar.
