Patna, Dec 27 (NationPress) The recent initiatives by the Minister of the Revenue and Land Reforms Department and Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha have sparked significant reactions within the department, as some bureaucrats voice concerns over his uncompromising stance against land-related misconduct.

In light of these developments, the Circle Officers' Association has reached out to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, requesting his intervention due to fears surrounding the minister's stringent orders.

In a strong response, Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Sinha asserted his refusal to submit to any external pressures, emphasizing that the time for mere warnings has passed and that decisive actions against the land mafia and brokers have commenced.

Addressing the matter on Saturday, Sinha mentioned that a clear warning had been communicated a week prior. He instructed all circle officers and revenue officials to take stringent legal measures against individuals utilizing forged documents to unlawfully seize land or instigate conflicts regarding legitimate ownership.

He mandated that officials must register cases after thorough verification to ensure no unlawful activities are ignored.

The Deputy Chief Minister further stated that immediate action is required against land mafia, brokers, and intermediaries involved in land fraud, cautioning that any circle officer who neglects to act against such individuals will face departmental actions.

Vijay Sinha also issued a firm warning to department officials who allegedly show leniency towards the land mafia, asserting that no one will be exempt if corrective measures are not undertaken.

He clarified that throughout public grievance redressal sessions, neither officials nor citizens are to be mistreated, adding that numerous land-related complaints have already been addressed through these engagements.

Commenting on the resistance to his reforms, Sinha stated, “Those who are troubled by the ongoing changes are the ones trying to hinder the reform process.”

He noted that he has not received any formal communication from the association nor has anyone reached out to him directly.

“I have never tolerated disorder and will not yield to pressure,” he affirmed.

Meanwhile, the Bihar government has made significant strides towards streamlining land-related processes by launching the Partition and Mutation Portal.

This new digital platform allows the names of all family members to be included in land records through a single application, greatly simplifying the land partition process.

This initiative is anticipated to provide substantial assistance to landowners by addressing longstanding issues related to delays, complexity, and transparency.

Previously, after a family land partition, each shareholder had to submit individual applications for mutation, prolonging the process. With the new system, one mutation application will update land records for all legal heirs, thereby saving time and minimizing disputes.
