Patna, July 14 (NationPress) Bihar's Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha stated on Monday that the rising crime incidents in the state are regrettable, yet the government is responding with utmost vigilance and seriousness.
In a pointed criticism of opposition leaders, Sinha remarked, "Certain individuals aim to instigate jungle raj in Bihar while masquerading as champions of morality. The government will take stringent measures against crime and criminals. If necessary, we will resort to actions such as bulldozer operations, encounters, and the seizure of properties belonging to offenders."
The Deputy CM emphasized that there is ongoing action against criminal activities; however, he accused opposition parties of fostering anarchy within the state.
"This will not be tolerated by the government under any circumstances," he firmly stated.
In the last ten days alone, Bihar has recorded over 20 murder incidents, including notable cases in Patna like the killings of businessman Gopal Khemka, sand trader Ramakant Yadav, grocery trader Vikram Jha, BJP leader Surendra Kewat, and lawyer Jitendra Kumar, prompting serious concerns regarding the state’s law and order.
Furthermore, a triple homicide occurred in Siwan recently, and a youth was shot in Patna Phulwarisharif early on July 14.
In light of these escalating crimes, Chirag Paswan, a partner in the NDA coalition and chief of LJPRV, expressed alarm over the rising murder rates in Bihar.
In addition to discussing crime, Sinha launched a fierce attack on the Congress and RJD, accusing them of fostering nepotism, particularly after Rahul Gandhi convened a party meeting in Delhi concerning the Bihar elections.
"It is regrettable to have leaders like Rahul Gandhi in India and Tejashwi Yadav in Bihar. Both embody the ideals of jungle raj and corruption," Sinha claimed, asserting that the Congress, Tejashwi Yadav, and the entire opposition are involved in nepotistic politics.
These remarks come as Bihar prepares for its upcoming Assembly elections, with law and order becoming a significant focal point for both the ruling coalition and the opposition.
