Key Takeaways
Patna, Dec 15 (NationPress) Bihar's Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Samrat Choudhary delivered a powerful message on Monday to criminals and mafia elements within the state, emphasizing that the government would adopt a strict approach if they do not change their behavior.
He specifically addressed members of the land mafia who have illegally occupied government property, warning that immediate action would be initiated within 24 hours of any complaint received.
Deputy Chief Minister Choudhary spoke at a public event at the Gaya Medical College, where he presented the NDA government's vision and detailed the initiatives aimed at propelling Bihar towards development.
He reiterated that ensuring law and order is the government's utmost priority.
"Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has assigned me the duty of overseeing the Home Department. My mission is straightforward -- I am solely focused on tackling the mafia in Bihar. My primary goal is to eradicate these elements and firmly establish good governance under the guidance of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar," stated Deputy Chief Minister Choudhary.
Discussing the ongoing initiatives against illegal encroachments, he noted that the bulldozer action would persist as a part of what he termed a cleanliness campaign.
"Currently, I am also conducting a cleanliness drive, which will continue. We are in the process of clearing roads. Anyone who believes a criminal or mafia member is encroaching on government land should file a complaint. Action will be executed within 24 hours, and the encroachment will be removed. No one can shield such individuals," he added.
Deputy Chief Minister Choudhary's comments coincide with the Bihar government's intensified efforts to combat organized crime, land invasions, and unlawful activities throughout the state.
He assured that children from Bihar would no longer be compelled to migrate outside the state in search of jobs.
According to him, this assurance is a pivotal reason the people of Bihar have bestowed a significant mandate upon Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
"We pledge to the citizens of the state that within the next five years, we will cultivate an environment in Bihar where no child will need to leave the state for employment. We will ensure that job opportunities are created right here in Bihar," Deputy Chief Minister Choudhary concluded.
