Patna, Jan 26 (NationPress) As the nation comes together to commemorate the 77th Republic Day with immense zeal and pride, Bihar held its state-level celebrations in style at Gandhi Maidan in Patna, where Governor Arif Mohammad Khan raised the national flag.

Speaking to the audience, the Governor declared that one crore people in Bihar will receive jobs and employment opportunities over the next five years.
He mentioned that to date, 10 lakh people have been employed in government roles, while 40 lakh individuals have found employment.
Focusing on infrastructure advancements, Governor Khan noted that improved road access enables travel to Patna from any part of the state within five hours.
Additionally, the construction of medical colleges in 27 districts is nearing completion, increasing the number of medical colleges in Bihar from six in 2005 to twelve currently.
Highlighting women's empowerment, the Governor remarked that the 50% reservation for women in Gram Panchayats and urban local bodies has led to significant social changes.
He also stated that 1.40 crore women involved with the Jeevika program have received Rs 10,000 each for employment, with provisions for assistance up to Rs 2 lakh for enhanced livelihood.
Work is ongoing to establish one model school and one degree college in each block.
During the parade, the Special Task Force (STF) was recognized for the Best Professional Parade, while the NCC Army Boys received accolades in the non-professional category.
The Best Platoon Commander award in the professional category went to the SSB, with the NCC recognized in the non-professional category.
