Bhubaneswar, Oct 17 (NationPress) The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) unveiled its roster of 40 prominent campaigners for the upcoming by-election in the Nuapada Assembly constituency, set for November 11.
This lineup features party chief and former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, along with seasoned leaders such as Prasanna Acharya, Debi Prasad Mishra, Ranendra Pratap Swain, Pranab Prakash Das, and Arun Sahoo, among others.
On Thursday, the BJD announced over 50 senior figures who will lead the party’s campaign and manage the overall election strategy for the Nuapada bypoll, with each leader given specific tasks for various blocks and Notified Area Councils (NACs) across the district.
The party has stationed 18 senior leaders specifically in the Nuapada and Komna blocks.
Additionally, eight leaders have been assigned to drive the campaign in the Nuapada and Khariar Road NACs for the party’s candidate.
In a notable move, BJD President and former Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced on Wednesday that veteran leader and former minister Snehangini Chhuria would be the party’s candidate for the Nuapada Assembly by-election.
