Is Congress Bringing Disgrace to India at the AI Summit?
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Ahmedabad, Feb 20 (NationPress) BJP's national president Nitin Nabin criticized the Congress party on Friday, claiming they are bringing disgrace to all Indians after members of their youth wing protested at the India AI Impact Summit in New Delhi. He asserted that the party's anarchic policies would ultimately lead to its downfall.
During his three-day tour in Gujarat, where he is engaging with party leaders and workers as part of an organizational outreach, Nabin expressed that the protest overshadowed what he viewed as a proud moment for the nation.
“Today is a disheartening day for our country and its citizens. When political parties lack principles and coherent policies, and their leadership adopts an anarchic stance, such anti-national sentiments emerge,” Nabin stated.
He emphasized that while the world celebrates the AI Impact Summit in India, individuals with anarchic mindsets are attempting to tarnish the nation's reputation.
Earlier, around 10 members of the Indian Youth Congress briefly protested inside the exhibition hall at the venue, chanting slogans until security personnel removed them. Several protesters were detained by the police.
Regarding the disruption, Nabin remarked: “The way Congress leaders instigated chaos at the AI Summit and the party's support for such actions is profoundly unfortunate. I vehemently condemn it.”
Nabin also targeted Rahul Gandhi, stating: “Every time our nation experiences a moment of pride, Rahul Gandhi manages to create turmoil for the country and its citizens.”
He accused the Congress leadership of reflecting a deeper malaise within the party. “The Congress's mentality has sunk so low that it is fundamentally bringing shame upon all Indians,” he stated.
“I want to advise Congress leaders that due to Rahul Gandhi’s anarchic policies, the Congress's decline is inevitable,” he added.
The India AI Impact Summit, which features policymakers, technology leaders, and international delegates, is being held this week in New Delhi to discuss advancements and regulations concerning artificial intelligence.
Nabin's comments were a focal point during his visit to Gujarat, marking his first trip to the state since assuming his role as the BJP National President.
