Hyderabad, May 30 (NationPress) - The President of the Congress party in Telangana, Mahesh Kumar Goud, asserted on Friday that BRS leader T. Harish Rao visited BJP MP Eatala Rajender. They allegedly had a phone conversation with BRS President and former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR).
This interaction and the subsequent phone call are purportedly related to their upcoming appearance before the P.C. Ghose Commission, which is investigating the Kaleshwaram project and has summoned all three for questioning.
According to Goud, the meeting took place at a farmhouse in Shameerpet, located on the outskirts of Hyderabad, followed by a telephonic discussion with KCR.
Goud questioned Rajender on whether he would act as Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s representative by telling the truth before the Commission or betray the BJP by siding with KCR.
The Congress leader accused Rajender of colluding with KCR to evade scrutiny regarding the Kaleshwaram scandal.
Rajender, who previously served as the Finance Minister in the BRS government, switched to the BJP in 2021. Concurrently, Harish Rao held significant portfolios like finance and irrigation during the BRS's governance from 2014 to 2023.
The Ghose Commission's inquiry into potential irregularities in the Kaleshwaram project has led to summons issued to KCR, Harish Rao, and Rajender.
Goud further urged the BJP to respond to MLA Raja Singh's controversial remark suggesting that BJP leaders would join the BRS for a lucrative package.
He demanded clarity on who received such a package and who has colluded with the BRS, asserting that Raja Singh's comments have unveiled the BJP leadership.
Goud also highlighted that BRS MLC K. Kavitha has revealed the connections between the BJP and BRS. He noted that Bandi Sanjay’s removal as state BJP president was due to his interference in the BJP-BRS relationship.
He challenged the Modi government to articulate the benefits of Operation Sindoor and the losses incurred, questioning the rationale behind allowing former US President Donald Trump to intervene in the India-Pakistan conflict. "Shouldn't the Centre be accountable to the citizens rather than targeting Rahul Gandhi?" he stated.
