New Delhi, Dec 3 (NationPress) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched a fierce attack against the Congress party, expressing outrage over what they termed a 'distasteful' Artificial Intelligence (AI) video featuring Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which was disseminated by Congress spokesperson Ragini Nayak.
Several BJP leaders and spokespersons criticized the Congress for belittling PM Modi's modest beginnings through the AI-generated clip.
They referred to a connection with Mani Shankar Aiyar to highlight the Congress party's 'habit' of ridiculing the Prime Minister and the accomplishments of the nation under his guidance.
The AI video, shared by Ragini Nayak on Tuesday night, depicted PM Modi strolling with a kettle and glasses, seemingly at an international event.
BJP MP Sambit Patra, addressing the media outside Parliament, remarked that such ludicrous and offensive behavior reflects the Congress mindset, asserting, 'a new Mani Shankar Aiyar has taken birth in the party.'
'Whenever a Mani Shankar is born in Congress, it will spell doom for it,' he stated in a pointed critique of the party.
Patra recounted an incident from the Congress convention in 2014, ahead of the Parliamentary elections, recalling 'Mani Shankar had said, Who is Modi? I will set up a small tent outside the Congress convention, let Modi come and sell tea to Congress workers.' This, he said, exemplifies the Congress mentality. A new Mani Shankar has emerged in Congress,' he concluded.
BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla also condemned the Congress for deriding the Prime Minister's humble beginnings and undermining the country and its successes.
'Naamdar Congress cannot tolerate a Kamdar PM from the OBC community who has risen from a poor background. They have previously mocked his Chaiwala roots and insulted him numerous times, even attacking his mother in Bihar,' Poonawalla asserted, emphasizing that the public would not forget the party's malicious behavior.
In the meantime, the Congress party, facing backlash from the BJP over their mockery of the Prime Minister, has opted to remain silent amid the ongoing controversy.
