New Delhi, March 1 (NationPress) BJP MP from Chandni Chowk constituency, Praveen Khandelwal spoke exclusively to IANS on Saturday. During the discussion, he criticized the former Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) administration for leaving Delhi in a deplorable condition.
Khandelwal stated, "We took charge of Delhi when it was in dire straits. The citizens have empowered us to enhance Delhi. It is not solely the government's duty to rectify this, but with the support of all, we can transform it into a city where individuals can thrive with respect and dignity. Keeping this vision in mind, the BJP has established numerous priorities, strategies, and time-sensitive objectives. Some measures to boost Delhi will necessitate public involvement."
He further mentioned, "A significant source of pollution stems from older vehicles, particularly those exceeding 15 years. We have resolved to phase them out. This decision is not new but has been reaffirmed. We all reside in Delhi, and if we aspire for clean air, it requires collective effort."
On the opposition's allegations regarding the BJP's role in generating fake voters in West Bengal, Khandelwal responded, "Mamata Banerjee and Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury are gradually diminishing their political influence. Their role is merely to make unfounded political claims. The entire nation is aware of how TMC engages in fraudulent voting and booth capturing in West Bengal. There exists a climate of fear under Mamata's administration. Meanwhile, the BJP has achieved victories in numerous states with a substantial mandate. We have gained the populace's trust and will uphold it."
Addressing Asaduddin Owaisi's remarks about Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's lineage and its role in India's freedom struggle, Khandelwal retorted, "Let him clarify his own contributions to the freedom movement. Some leaders only make comments to remain pertinent in political debates."
Commenting on the convened meeting regarding Manipur, he said, "The assembly called by Union Home Minister Amit Shah sends a definitive message that the central government is committed to Manipur. The situation will improve soon, and peace and harmony will be reinstated, allowing citizens to live in calm and tranquility."
