BJP Criticizes Kejriwal's Letter to RSS Chief as a Distraction

New Delhi, Jan 1 (NationPress) In response to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor Arvind Kejriwal's correspondence with RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, BJP General Secretary Dushyant Gautam asserted that the former Chief Minister of Delhi was merely trying to shift focus from significant problems.
“Individuals who have remained inactive for the past 10-12 years are now employing such strategies,” he stated to IANS, claiming that AAP's agenda has been to exploit and ruin the lives of Delhi residents.
Tarun Chugh further accused Kejriwal of playing vote-bank politics.
“For over a decade, Kejriwal has favored clerics and catered to a specific community while neglecting Sanatan traditions, temples, and gurudwaras. As elections draw near, he suddenly becomes aware of priests and granthis. The public is not deceived by his falsehoods and will respond appropriately,” he remarked.
Chugh proclaimed, “Your dishonesty will no longer succeed. The populace is prepared to rise and declare, ‘Vacate the throne!’ ”
Earlier today, Kejriwal sent a letter to Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat inquiring about various aspects of BJP's political conduct.
In his letter, Kejriwal asked questions such as: -- Does RSS endorse the wrongdoings of BJP in recent days? Are BJP leaders’ blatant acts of distributing money supported by RSS? The cutting of Dalit and Purvanchali votes from the electoral list is rampant. Does RSS believe this is beneficial for democracy? Does RSS not feel that BJP is undermining democracy?
Regarding the ongoing correspondence between Delhi CM Atishi and Lieutenant Governor V.K. Saxena, Gautam condemned AAP's management, stating, “AAP has betrayed the citizens' trust. Their initiatives (such as the Pujari-Granthi Samman Yojana and similar programs) are mere theatrics without tangible outcomes. They claim to have constructed schools, but where are those schools? In Delhi, water scarcity persists while tanker mafias thrive. Whatever AAP claims, the opposite is likely true.”
He added, “This band-baaja politics involving letters is merely a strategy to save themselves as public confidence in them has dwindled.”
Emphasizing the BJP's accomplishments, Dushyant Gautam stated, “We have provided homes for four crore individuals in the city, and in the next five years, we aim to offer homes to three crore more, starting with Delhi.”
Mentioning the Prime Minister’s commitment made from the Red Fort to eradicate kuccha houses, Gautam said, “The PM vowed that within five years, no one in India would reside in a kuccha house. This initiative is commencing in Delhi, featuring homes that will include kitchens, gas connections, and more. The BJP delivers on its promises.”
