Hyderabad, Feb 4 (NationPress) The BJP National President, Nitin Nabin, accused Telangana's Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy of exceeding all boundaries of appeasement politics. He asserted that the Chief Minister's primary aim is to sow division within society.
During his first visit to Telangana as the BJP chief, Nitin Nabin addressed a public gathering in Mahabubnagar, part of the party's campaign for the municipal elections scheduled for February 11.
He conveyed that BJP members are resolute in opposing the Telangana government's politics of appeasement.
Nitin Nabin criticized the Chief Minister's remark, stating that 'Congress means Muslims, Muslims means Congress,' indicating that the party's focus is solely on the Muslim vote bank.
He remarked on the critical state of Telangana's politics, alleging that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has persistently marginalized the citizens, their Telugu language, and cultural identity. He further accused the CM of disrespecting the traditions and values of Sanatan Dharam.
Nitin Nabin charged the state government with reducing the budget for Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs), and Backward Classes (BCs) while increasing allocations for minorities.
He claimed that the Telangana Waqf Board is the wealthiest of its kind, owning 77,000 acres of land, and alleged that the government is bolstering the Waqf Board to appease the Muslim community.
He further alleged that under the Congress administration, numerous temples faced desecration. He cautioned the ruling party that BJP supporters would not stand idle against ongoing attacks on Sanatan Dharam. “If these assaults persist, your time in power will be limited,” he warned.
Nitin Nabin condemned the Telangana government for failing to deliver on its electoral promises, such as the monthly financial support of Rs. 2,500 to women as pledged during campaigning.
He accused the government of betraying all societal segments, including farmers, women, SCs, STs, and BCs.
He alleged that a 'Raul Revanth tax' is being imposed to settle bills related to development projects. He stated that it is time to oust the 'commission sarkar' and empower the BJP in the state.
He highlighted the initiatives taken by the Modi government for Telangana's development, such as the announcement of three high-speed rail corridors in the recent Union Budget, emphasizing that the BJP is committed to the state's progress.
Referring to the BJP's performance in the 2023 Assembly and 2024 Lok Sabha elections, where the party doubled its representation in Telangana, he urged party members to maintain this momentum and aim for a target of 50 percent of the votes.
Earlier, Nitin Nabin received a warm reception at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad, where Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy, state BJP president N. Ramchander Rao, MP K. Lakshman, and numerous party workers greeted him.
