Bhubaneswar, Nov 14 (NationPress) Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi stated on Friday that the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) remarkable performance and triumph in the Nuapada by-election symbolize a pivotal moment in Odisha’s political arena.
Taking to his X account, CM Majhi expressed, “This victory showcases the complete trust and faith the people have in our government’s policies, principles, and welfare initiatives. The citizens of Nuapada have unequivocally dismissed the smear tactics and empty promises of the opposition, and by endorsing progress, they have issued a clear mandate for the Bharatiya Janata Party.”
Following this decisive bypoll victory, the Chief Minister conveyed his sincere gratitude to the electorate of the Nuapada constituency.
CM Majhi also warmly congratulated the newly elected Nuapada MLA, Jay Dholakia, on this momentous occasion.
He expressed appreciation for the state BJP president Manmohan Samal, along with all party Ministers, MLAs, and MPs, as well as the dedicated workers whose relentless efforts led to the party's substantial victory.
“In our nation today, PM Modi’s leadership epitomizes development. Guided by his ideals, our government has been relentlessly working for the betterment of Odisha's citizens and the state's progress over the last year and a half. The backing from the residents of Nuapada has reinvigorated our resolve. BJP candidate Jay Dholakia, who garnered a total of 1,23,869 votes, triumphed over Congress candidate Ghasiram Majhi by a substantial margin of 83,748 votes. This margin stands as the highest among all eight by-elections held concurrently with the Bihar Assembly elections.
The BJD candidate Snehangini Chhuria secured the third position with 38,408 votes. The BJP has successfully reclaimed the Nuapada seat from the BJD, raising its total seats to 79 in the state assembly out of 147.
“This victory is not solely mine; it belongs to the Nuapada district, the double-engine government led by BJP, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Mohan Majhi, my father Rajendra Dholakia, and the overall development of Nuapada,” stated Dholakia.
PM Modi also expressed gratitude to the people of Nuapada and congratulated Dholakia for his substantial win in the pivotal bypolls.
