Hisar, April 14 (NationPress) Emphasizing his party's dedication to realizing the vision of ‘Viksit Haryana, Viksit Bharat’, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated on Monday, “When the BJP entrusted me with responsibilities in Haryana, I, alongside many of my party colleagues, dedicated my efforts here.”

“Their dedication has fortified the BJP in Haryana, and I take pride in the fact that the BJP is profoundly committed to making the dream of 'Viksit Haryana, Viksit Bharat' a reality,” he declared during his public speech after inaugurating the inaugural commercial flight from Hisar to Ayodhya and laying the foundation for terminal-2 at Maharaja Agrasen Airport in Hisar, which is projected to be completed within two years.

The airport terminal will be constructed with an estimated investment of over Rs 410 crore and is part of PM Modi’s initiative to make air travel safer, more economical, and accessible for everyone.

The event was attended by Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini along with various state ministers.

PM Modi remarked, “Prior to 2014, the nation boasted 74 airports, but now there are more than 150 airports... Can you envision only 74 airports in 70 years? Every year, we witness a record number of airline passengers in the country. Our government is simultaneously enhancing connectivity and ensuring the welfare of the underprivileged and social justice.”

The launch of the Hisar airport signifies a pivotal development in the state’s progress. It is set to enhance regional connectivity and spur economic advancement throughout the state.

Criticizing the Congress for catering to extremists, he said, “Haryana is a state where a significant number of youth enlist in the army to serve our nation. The Congress has deceived for decades regarding OROP.”

He highlighted that numerous hectares of land are registered under Waqf. “Now, under the new Waqf regulation, this Waqf Board will not be able to encroach upon any tribal's land or property across India. The new measures will honor the sacred essence of Waqf. The economically disadvantaged and Pasmanda families within the Muslim community, particularly women, especially Muslim widows, and children will receive their entitlements, and their rights will be safeguarded. This is true social justice.”

The Prime Minister criticized the Congress government in Karnataka for stripping SCs, STs, and OBCs of their rights and providing reservations based on religion. “However, Babasaheb Ambedkar clearly stated that religion-based reservations will not be accommodated. The Congress’ politics of appeasement has not benefitted the Muslim community; it has only been detrimental to them. The Congress chose to appease a few radicals.”

He stated that the Congress undermined the vision that Baba Saheb Ambedkar had envisaged—the provision for social justice embedded in the Constitution—and transformed the Constitution into a means of appeasement.

PM Modi emphasized that the Congress exploited the Constitution solely for power. “Whenever they sensed that power was slipping away, they disregarded the Constitution, as they did during the Emergency.”

“The essence of the Constitution explicitly states that there should be a unified civil code for all citizens, which I refer to as a secular civil code. However, Congress has never enacted it. In Uttarakhand, we have implemented a secular civil code, yet Congress continues to oppose it,” PM Modi remarked.

He accused the Congress of treating SCs, STs, and OBCs as second-class citizens. “While Congress leaders indulged in luxuries like swimming pools, only 16 out of every 100 households in villages had access to piped water, and among those affected, SCs, STs, and OBCs were the most impacted,” PM Modi added.
