Jaipur, May 9 (NationPress) An object resembling a bomb was unearthed in a residential locality of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan on Friday, leading to an extensive security operation. The explosive was located in the Jogi Colony of Kishanghat around 10 a.m. Army personnel promptly evacuated the entire vicinity. Fortunately, the Army team successfully removed the bomb, averting a potential catastrophe.
The atmosphere in Jaisalmer is currently tense, with police imposing a comprehensive city-wide blockade. Heavily armed forces have been stationed, and thorough checks are being conducted on all incoming and outgoing vehicles.
Entry is permitted only after meticulous document verification, and all suspicious activities are under strict observation.
Due to the heightened alert, blackouts were enforced across six districts on Thursday night, including Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Barmer, Bikaner, Sri Ganganagar, and Pali. Airports in the border regions have been completely shut down, leaving the airspace nearly deserted as all routine flights have been redirected. The impacted airports include Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Bikaner, and Kishangarh.
