New Delhi, Feb 7 (NationPress) A series of bomb threats were emailed to various schools in the Delhi-NCR region, including Shiv Nadar School in Noida and Ahlcon International School in Mayur Vihar, early on Friday morning, prompting an immediate response from security forces.

At Ahlcon International School, Mayur Vihar 1, the threat was directed to the principal at 6:40 AM. The school management quickly notified the Pandav Nagar Police Station, which then informed senior authorities and the East District Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS).

The SHO of Pandav Nagar, along with other police officers, BDS specialists, and dog handlers, carried out an exhaustive search of the school grounds. Fortunately, no suspicious items were discovered, leading to the school being deemed safe.

Similarly, Shiv Nadar School in Noida received a security alert, prompting local authorities to implement stringent security protocols. Police and bomb disposal units conducted thorough sweeps to eliminate any potential threats.

In response to the bomb threats, school administrations enacted precautionary protocols, including temporary closures and a transition to online classes. A parent, Sailesh Gupta, recounted his experience, saying, "We were notified that the school would be closed today and that online classes would be conducted. While all the children arrived on time, some were turned back at the school gates, and others returned home midway."

This instance is not unprecedented, as Delhi and Noida schools have previously faced similar threats, leading to the implementation of strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and enhanced security measures.

Authorities are actively investigating the origins of these threats while prioritizing the safety of students and staff. Security protocols have been heightened across schools in the Delhi-NCR area, with law enforcement agencies remaining on high alert.
