BPSC Exam Controversy: Pappu Yadav Calls for Statewide Strike on January 12

Patna, Jan 7 (NationPress) Independent MP Rajesh Ranjan, commonly referred to as Pappu Yadav, has declared a statewide strike on January 12 aimed at supporting the demands of the candidates from the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) for the cancellation and re-administration of their examination.

He has called on leaders from the Mahagathbandhan to participate in the protest advocating for the annulment and re-examination of the 70th BPSC exam.

This announcement followed Yadav's meeting with Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan at the Raj Bhavan in Patna on Tuesday.

During their discussion, Yadav submitted a memorandum alleging misconduct in the BPSC examination process, requesting a comprehensive investigation into the suspected paper leak and administrative "failures".

Yadav reported that the governor assured him of a thorough investigation into the paper leak, not only regarding the 70th BPSC exam but also for other examinations conducted in previous years.

"In my dialogue with the governor, I raised multiple concerns regarding significant irregularities, a lack of transparency, and administrative failures in the 70th BPSC Preliminary Test. These problems have severely undermined the credibility of the examination system. The conditions surrounding the exam and its aftermath are highly concerning," Yadav stated.

He was joined by notable figures such as Premchand Singh, Rajesh Pappu, Raghavendra Kushwaha, and Faizan Ahmed.

Speaking to reporters outside the Raj Bhavan, Yadav criticized political strategist-turned-politician and Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor, claiming, "He has turned the students' movement into a tool for his political business."

He derided Kishor's proposal that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav should spearhead the students' movement, labeling it as an effort to exploit student protests for political advantage.

Pappu Yadav also condemned the Bihar Police for allegedly quelling peaceful protests by students.

Commenting on the police's use of force against students during their nonviolent protest in Patna, Yadav remarked, "The police used force three times, infringing upon the students' right to peaceful protest. This not only goes against their interests but also represents an assault on democracy."
