Pappu Yadav Submits Trio of Petitions to Patna HC Regarding BPSC Exam Irregularities

Patna, Jan 11 (NationPress) Purnea MP Rajesh Ranjan, widely recognized as Pappu Yadav, has commenced legal proceedings concerning supposed irregularities in the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) examinations by filing three distinct petitions in the Patna High Court.

The petitions have surfaced amidst increasing public discontent regarding ongoing examination misconduct and the alleged harsh treatment of candidates who are protesting. Yadav has charged the BPSC with negligence, particularly emphasizing the recurrent paper leaks that have troubled multiple examinations.

The initial petition seeks to hold the BPSC accountable and demands the implementation of measures to guarantee transparency and integrity in its examination procedures.

The second petition highlights the supposed excessive force utilized against peaceful protesters, noting incidents such as a lathi charge and the subsequent filing of FIRs against them. Yadav has condemned the administration's actions as heavy-handed and unwarranted towards nonviolent demonstrators.

The final petition requests the annulment of the 70th Combined Preliminary Examination, citing widespread misconduct and inequity.

“The continual paper leaks indicate more profound systemic problems, with examination mafias like Sanjeev Mukhiya allegedly having close connections to influential political figures,” Yadav remarked.

Yadav also revealed his intention to address the topic of examination corruption and paper leaks during the forthcoming Lok Sabha session on March 31, pushing for a national dialogue.

His concerns resonate with numerous candidates and organizations, including the Jan Suraaj Party, who have similarly petitioned the Patna High Court to cancel the 70th Preliminary Examination held on December 13, citing extensive rigging.

The petitioners are advocating for a re-examination and accountability regarding the aggressive suppression of protests.

Previously, on January 7, the Supreme Court declined to consider a petition for canceling the BPSC prelims exam. A bench led by Chief Justice of India Sanjiv Khanna instructed petitioners to first approach the Patna High Court, citing procedural necessities.

Yadav did not hesitate to make sharp allegations against various individuals and entities. He claimed that coaching mafias, linked to powerful figures, played a crucial role in undermining the movement against BPSC irregularities.

In a veiled critique of political strategist and activist Prashant Kishor, Yadav referred to him as the “new satyagrahi,” suggesting that he has hindered the protests. He ridiculed Kishor for reportedly needing hospitalization after only a brief participation in the movement, questioning his dedication and intentions.
