Pappu Yadav and 7 Others Charged for Disrupting Train Services in Patna

Patna, January 4 (NationPress) - The Government Railway Police (GRP) at Patna Junction has filed an FIR against Rajesh Ranjan, also known as Pappu Yadav, and seven other individuals due to their involvement in blocking railway operations at Sachiwalay Halt on Friday.
The demonstration, spearheaded by Pappu Yadav, was intended to show support for the protesting BPSC candidates who are demanding the annulment of the 70th Preliminary examination throughout Bihar, effectively halting railway services at Sachiwalay Halt.
Pappu Yadav and his associates are being charged with obstructing the smooth operation of train services and vehicular traffic, causing significant inconvenience to the public due to their protest.
They conducted the demonstrations without obtaining the necessary permissions from the authorities.
In addition to Pappu Yadav, others such as Raju Danveer, Rajiv Mishra, Abhijeet Singh, Faizan Ahmed, Premchand Singh, Suraj Gupta, and Purushottam Kumar Singh were also charged under applicable laws at the GRP police station in Patna Junction.
On that day, Pappu Yadav and his supporters arrived at the Sachiwalay Halt Railway Station and briefly sat on the railway track, effectively halting train operations.
This action was part of a premeditated plan by Pappu Yadav to disrupt railway operations in solidarity with candidates who have been on a hunger strike for 17 days, advocating for the cancellation of the 70th BPSC Combined Preliminary Examination.
The district administration of Patna, anticipating possible disturbances, has deployed a substantial police presence at the site of the protest.
Despite the heavy police presence, Pappu Yadav and his supporters successfully accessed the station premises and sat on the railway tracks.
Pappu Yadav has pledged to continue the protest until justice is served, including taking legal action up to the Supreme Court.
He has reiterated his dedication to the cause, declaring: "We will approach the Supreme Court regarding this issue. The BPSC has committed an injustice and must annul the examination entirely. Our protests will persist until the issue of paper leaks in Bihar and the nation is resolved."
