Pappu Yadav Reaffirms Dedication to BPSC Demonstration, Commits to Supreme Court Action

Patna, Jan 3 (NationPress) In a determined display of support for the BPSC candidates who are protesting, Purnea MP Rajesh Ranjan, popularly known as Pappu Yadav, has pledged to persist with the agitation until justice is achieved, even if it means escalating the matter to the Supreme Court.

While addressing the media during the Rail Chakka Jam at Sachiwalay Halt in Patna on Friday, Yadav voiced strong criticism against the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) for alleged discrepancies in the 70th combined preliminary examination.

Yadav reiterated his dedication to this cause, asserting, “We will approach the Supreme Court regarding this matter. The BPSC has acted improperly, and the entire examination must be annulled. Our protests will persist until the paper leak issues in Bihar and across the nation are eradicated.”

He underscored the legitimacy and endurance of this movement, drawing comparisons to historical protests. “If movements such as the Meena, Jat, reservation, farmers, Mandal, and Kamandal movements could sustain for extended periods, why can’t the BPSC examination Satyagraha continue? This movement will carry on until justice is served,” Yadav stated.

Following a successful Rail Chakka Jam at Sachiwalay Halt, which disrupted train services and brought attention to the frustrations of students, Yadav led a protest march towards the Income Tax roundabout in Patna.

Yadav also connected the BPSC protest to wider governance and transparency issues, stressing the necessity for systemic reforms to avert examination irregularities, ensure equity, and safeguard the aspirations of students throughout Bihar and India.

In response to Prashant Kishor's hunger strike in Gandhi Maidan, the Purnea MP dismissed it as a mere performance, questioning Kishor's motives and timing. Yadav accused Kishor of selecting a location likely to face administrative action, thus diminishing the seriousness of his protest.

He criticized Kishor’s choice of location, stating, “He (Prashant Kishor) knew that the administration would evict him, which is why he staged his dharna there. Why didn’t he choose the Gardanibagh dharna site? And why was he absent for the first 14 days of the agitation?”

Yadav suggested that Kishor’s decision to hold the protest at the Bapu statue in Gandhi Maidan lacked genuine commitment and was more about publicity than addressing the students' concerns.

Earlier, Pappu Yadav and hundreds of his supporters obstructed railway services at the Sachiwalay Halt railway station in Patna on Friday morning.

This action was part of Yadav's pre-planned strategy to disrupt railway operations in support of candidates who have been on a hunger strike for 17 days, demanding the cancellation of the BPSC 70th Combined Preliminary Examination.

The Patna district administration has stationed a police force at the protest site. Despite the heavy police presence, Pappu Yadav and his supporters managed to enter the station and sit on the railway tracks.
