Cabinet Expansion of Hemant Soren Scheduled for December 5

Ranchi, Dec 3 (NationPress) The government led by Hemant Soren in Jharkhand is poised for an expansion on December 5, as the Raj Bhavan has been requested to organize a swearing-in ceremony for the new ministers at noon on that particular day, as per insider information.
While an official announcement is pending, it is anticipated that 11 ministers will take the oath—comprising six from the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), four from Congress, and one from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). Reports indicate that this cabinet expansion will likely bring in six to seven new faces.
Potential candidates from the JMM include Deepak Birua (MLA from Chaibasa), Ramdas Soren (MLA from Ghatsila), Hafizul Hasan (MLA from Madhupur), Anant Pratap Deo (MLA from Bhawanathpur), Louis Marandi (MLA from Jama), and Mathura Prasad Mahato (MLA from Tundi).
Names such as Sabita Mahato (MLA from Ichagarh) and MT Raja (MLA from Rajmahal) are also under consideration.
Among the prospective Congress ministers are Rameshwar Oraon (MLA from Lohardaga), Irfan Ansari (MLA from Jamtara), Deepika Pandey Singh (MLA from Mahagama), Pradeep Yadav (MLA from Poraiyahat), and Naman Vikas Kongadi (MLA from Kolebira).
Other contenders include Mamta Devi (MLA from Ramgarh), Jaimangal Singh (MLA from Bermo), and Ramchandra Singh (MLA from Manika).
Suresh Paswan, the MLA from Deoghar, is viewed as the leading candidate for the RJD's sole ministerial position. However, Sanjay Singh Yadav (MLA from Godda) and Sanjay Prasad Yadav (MLA from Hussainabad) are also advocating for the role.
Hemant Soren was inaugurated as Chief Minister on November 28. Within the 81-member Jharkhand Assembly, his coalition of four parties holds 56 seats—with the JMM having 34, Congress 16, RJD 4, and CPI-ML 2.
It is noteworthy that the CPI-ML has chosen to abstain from joining the cabinet.
Political analysts suggest that the delay in expansion stemmed from the intricate power-sharing negotiations between the two key alliance partners—Congress and RJD. The state is permitted a maximum of 12 ministers, including the Chief Minister.
