Raipur, April 21 (NationPress) In a heartbreaking event in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district, a member of the 19th Battalion of the Chhattisgarh Armed Force (CAF) lost his life due to an IED (improvised explosive device) explosion, as reported by officials on Monday.
The explosion, which was instigated by Maoists, occurred in the vicinity of Toynar and Farsegarh villages, close to the Mormed forest area.
The courageous soldier, Manoj Pujari, aged 26, was part of a CAF unit on patrol to secure a road construction project along the Toynar-Farsegarh route, as stated by the officials.
The explosion transpired in the forested Mormed area, approximately four kilometers from the Toynar police station.
According to reports, Manoj inadvertently stepped on a pressure bomb laid by Maoists, resulting in the tragic detonation.
