New Delhi, Dec 26 (NationPress) The Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar visited the Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan at the Vice President's Enclave on Friday. During their meeting, they discussed insights regarding the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls and the Chairship of International IDEA.
Earlier this month, CEC Kumar traveled to Sweden to take on the role of Chair at the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (International IDEA).
While in Sweden, he engaged with the Committee on the Constitution at the Swedish Parliament, discussing various democratic aspects.
Additionally, the CEC unveiled a plaque at the International IDEA Headquarters in Sweden and met with Dr. Kevin Casas-Zamora, the Secretary-General of International IDEA.
He assumed the Chairship during the Council of Member States meeting of International IDEA in Stockholm, Sweden. As Chair, he is set to lead all council meetings in 2026.
