Celebrating the Foundation Days of Various States to Promote 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat': Rajasthan Governor

Jaipur, Dec 2 (NationPress) The Foundation Day of Jharkhand, Nagaland, and Assam was commemorated in Rajasthan’s Raj Bhavan on Monday, during which the Governor interacted with the residents of these states and conveyed his greetings.

Stressing the significance of the celebration, the Governor highlighted that the observance of state foundation days at Raj Bhavan aims to actualize the vision of 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat'.

While reflecting on the foundation days of Jharkhand, Nagaland, and Assam, the Governor shared valuable insights into the culture, art, and heritage of these regions, noting that India boasts some of the world’s oldest cultural traditions, with ancient texts referencing various states.

In tribute to Birsa Munda for his resistance against British rule in Jharkhand, the Governor acknowledged the state's pivotal role in preserving tribal heritage.

Discussing the historical context of Nagaland and the rich cultural heritage of Assam, he urged drawing inspiration from the artistic legacies of these states.

The Governor further asserted that the celebration of state foundation days at Raj Bhavan exemplifies India's unity in diversity, embodying the essence of 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat' and nurturing cultural bonds.

He also engaged with the residents of these states to learn about their contributions and encouraged them to take an active role in the development of Rajasthan.

In a related note, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma met with the Governor at Raj Bhavan to discuss various developmental issues concerning the state.

On the previous day, the Karnataka Raj Bhavan also celebrated the Foundation Day of Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, Nagaland, and Assam, showcasing the rich traditions, art, and heritage of these diverse states.

During his speech, the Governor of Karnataka, Thaawarchand Gehlot, accentuated India’s vast cultural diversity, stating that every state has its unique characteristics and rich religious and cultural heritage.
