Bhopal, Jan 24 (NationPress) Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai Patel stated on Saturday that the celebrations marking the foundation day are more than just a recognition of the formation of administrative regions; they serve as a sacred opportunity to honor India’s federal structure, cultural diversity, and national integrity.

The Governor made this remark while addressing the joint Foundation Day festivities for the states of Manipur, Meghalaya, Tripura, and Uttar Pradesh at the Lok Bhavan in Bhopal.

During this event, Governor Patel extended his warm greetings and best wishes to the people of the three states on their respective Foundation Days.

In his address, Governor Patel expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, noting that the 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat' initiative has invigorated national unity by bringing together the country’s diverse communities.

While speaking to the attendees, which included artists and officials from the mentioned states, the Governor recalled that a joint celebration involving Madhya Pradesh, Manipur, and Meghalaya took place in Gujarat on November 11 last year.

He emphasized that this collective celebration of foundation days underscores the reality that, despite geographical distances, our soul, consciousness, and values are interconnected. The merging of North India’s spiritual essence, the rich folk traditions of the Northeast, and Western India’s maritime legacy showcases India as a robust and inspiring nation on the global stage.

Governor Patel further characterized the foundation day as a significant occasion that reflects a commitment to regional identities and a collective determination to fortify national unity.

He highlighted development, good governance, and social harmony as fundamental pillars of nation building.

Dara Singh, the Minister of State for Prisons in Uttar Pradesh, served as the chief guest for the joint foundation day celebration event.

Video messages from Ajay Kumar Bhalla (Governor of Manipur) and C.H. Vijayashankar (Governor of Meghalaya) were shared during the joint state celebrations.

Short films showcasing the culture, civilization, and development of the states of Manipur, Meghalaya, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh were also screened during the event.
