Residents of Haryana will have access to the self-enumeration option from April 16 to April 30. During this timeframe, citizens can conveniently submit their information via the self-enumeration portal using their mobile devices, tablets, or computers. This process is straightforward, secure, and tailored for the convenience of the public.
Following this, from May 1 to May 30, enumerators will conduct visits to each household throughout the state as part of the household listing activities.
During this event, Governor Ghosh praised Lalit Jain, Director of the Census Department in Haryana, along with his team, for their dedication and hard work.
He emphasized that the Census represents the largest administrative operation globally, and the data collected will significantly influence Haryana's developmental policies and direction.
The Governor encouraged residents to fully utilize the self-enumeration option, highlighting its convenience and efficiency, which will also help conserve time and resources.
He called upon all citizens in Haryana to extend their full support to the census personnel to ensure the successful completion of this critical activity.
The Government of India has initiated Phase I of Census 2027 -- Houselisting and Housing Census (HLO) -- starting April 1, marking the launch of the nation’s most extensive administrative and statistical undertaking.
This marks India's inaugural digital data collection and self-enumeration effort. The national enumeration was commenced by the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, through self-enumeration, maintaining the proud tradition of beginning the census with the First Citizen of India.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also completed his self-enumeration and has urged the citizens of India to take part by self-reporting their household information.
