Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma Initiates Functioning of 14 Chapters for Pravasi Rajasthani Community

Jaipur, Jan 9 (NationPress) In a pivotal move toward strengthening connections with the Pravasi Rajasthanis, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has directed officials to activate the 14 newly formed chapters of the Pravasi Rajasthani community, as reported by officials.
Additionally, Chief Minister Sharma has sanctioned vital measures to rejuvenate the 12 pre-existing chapters of the Rajasthan Foundation, a governmental body dedicated to fortifying ties between Rajasthan and the Pravasi Rajasthani community.
A delegation from the Rajasthan government, headed by Manisha Arora, Commissioner of the Rajasthan Foundation, is currently participating in the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Convention 2025 in Bhubaneswar.
The delegation engaged with numerous Pravasi Rajasthanis present at the event, reinforcing their connections with Rajasthan and encouraging the community to invest and pursue new business ventures within the state.
The 14 newly formed chapters comprise five domestic locations: Bhubaneswar, Delhi, Pune, Ranchi, and Guwahati, alongside nine international chapters located in Dubai (UAE), Munich (Germany), Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), Tokyo (Japan), Singapore, Doha (Qatar), Melbourne (Australia), Nairobi (Kenya), and Kampala (Uganda).
Arora, along with Amit Singhal, Manager of the Rajasthan Foundation; Rohit Sharma, Deputy Director of IT; and officials Ajay Agarwal, Ashok Sharda, Sanjay Ladh, Akshay Khandelwal, and S K Lakhotia, attended a meeting with various Pravasi Rajasthanis at the Utkal Chamber of Commerce in Bhubaneswar.
The delegation convened with the community in line with Chief Minister Sharma's directives to operationalize the newly established chapter in Bhubaneswar.
Approximately 70 members, along with local Pravasi Rajasthani associations, participated in the session, where Arora informed attendees about the significant role of the Rajasthan Foundation, its objectives, and initiatives.
The delegation also shared insights on key initiatives from the Rajasthan government's Industries Department aimed at Pravasi Rajasthani investors.
Furthermore, the community members were invited to explore investment prospects in the state, alongside information about the investment-friendly regulations in Rajasthan.
During the event, Manisha Arora, Commissioner of the Rajasthan Foundation, remarked, "Under the guidance of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, the Rajasthan Foundation is undertaking dedicated efforts to establish close ties with the Pravasi Rajasthani community and encourage exploration of investment and business collaboration opportunities in Rajasthan. In addition to revitalizing existing chapters, the Rajasthan Foundation will also activate the new chapters in the near future."
The recent 'Rising Rajasthan' Global Investment Summit 2024, held in Jaipur from December 9 to 11, also saw significant involvement from the Pravasi Rajasthani community.
A special Pravasi Rajasthani Conclave was conducted on December 10, inviting the community to rejuvenate its connections with its home state and promote the influx of new investment and business opportunities.
During this conclave, CM Sharma announced the establishment of a dedicated government department to address the welfare of the community.
Other notable initiatives disclosed by the Chief Minister included the Pravasi Rajasthani Samman Awards and the designation of a Single Point of Contact for the Pravasi Rajasthani community across all districts in the state.
