Patna, June 19 (NationPress) As Prime Minister Narendra Modi prepares for his visit to Bihar, Union Minister and LJP (Ram Vilas) President Chirag Paswan emphasized that each visit by the Prime Minister marks a new phase in the state's progress.
Chirag pointed out the longstanding need for upgrading Patna Airport, asserting that under PM Modi’s guidance, this demand has finally been addressed.
“This is not merely a new structure; it symbolizes the groundwork for a prosperous Bihar,” he stated.
In response to RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav’s comment regarding the “Jamai Commission”, Chirag Paswan asserted: “My focus is on development. Certain individuals prefer to steer conversations away from significant issues. If one has questions for the Prime Minister, they should center on his promises, rather than deflecting when faced with a lack of answers.”
He reaffirmed his political stance: “My agenda is and always will be Bihar First, Bihari First. No party can alter that.”
Addressing the controversy surrounding a viral image showing B.R. Ambedkar’s photo allegedly at Lalu Prasad’s feet, Chirag described it as “profoundly disrespectful.”
“This is not only an insult to the Scheduled Castes but a slight against the entire nation. Our country operates under the Constitution, with Baba Saheb's principles as its core,” Paswan remarked.
He accused his opposition of political opportunism, stating: “Some leaders disrespect icons like Ambedkar, yet shamelessly solicit votes in their name.”
During his visit to Siwan, Prime Minister Modi is anticipated to unveil various projects related to railways, urban infrastructure, water supply, sanitation, and energy.
These initiatives will include the inauguration of the Vaishali-Deoria railway line, the launch of the Patliputra-Gorakhpur Vande Bharat Express, new sewage and drinking water projects under Namami Gange and AMRUT, and the foundation stone of India’s first export-bound locomotive from the Marhowra plant, among others.
