He stated that the forthcoming Union Budget will be supportive of farmers and rural communities, thanks to the Prime Minister’s capable and visionary guidance.
In parallel, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla confirmed that FM Sitharaman will unveil the Union Budget for 2026-27 on February 1, a Sunday.
The Finance Minister is set to commence the Budget presentation at 11 a.m. in the lower house on February 1, as clarified by the Speaker during a recent press conference. The Budget Session of Parliament will start on January 28 and last until April 2.
There had been some ambiguity regarding the precise date since the usual date for the budget presentation fell on a Sunday this year. The Lok Sabha Speaker has now resolved this uncertainty.
