Chennai, Aug 10 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, M.K. Stalin, who has been actively visiting various districts for field assessments, inaugurating finished projects, laying foundation stones for new initiatives, and engaging with the public, is set to continue his itinerary in Coimbatore district today following a brief health interruption.
Originally, CM Stalin had planned to be in Coimbatore on July 22 and 23 for inspections and community interactions, but those events were delayed due to his unexpected health issues.
His visit will commence this evening, with the Chief Minister arriving in Coimbatore at 5.25 p.m. via flight from Chennai.
Supporters from DMK in Coimbatore and Tiruppur districts will give him a warm welcome at the airport. At 6.50 p.m., he will head to Narasimhapuram in Udumalpet, Tiruppur district, where he will unveil a statue honoring former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi around 8.50 p.m.
CM Stalin will spend the night in Udumalpet. The following day, he will hold a public meeting at Netaji Grounds in Udumalpet at 10 a.m. to discuss various government welfare initiatives. Later, he will travel to Pollachi to unveil statues of notable leaders including Kamaraj, V.K. Palaniswami, C. Subramaniam, and Pollachi N. Mahalingam.
He will also inaugurate a memorial dedicated to the workers who lost their lives during the construction of the Parambikulam Aliyar Dam.
Afterward, CM Stalin will launch a hall named after V.K. Palaniswami and observe a photo exhibition and project model related to the Parambikulam Aliyar irrigation project.
Upon completing his engagements in Pollachi, CM Stalin will travel by road back to Coimbatore at 12.15 p.m. and will depart for Chennai from Coimbatore Airport at 2.10 p.m.
Security measures have been escalated for this visit, with 500 police officers stationed in Coimbatore city and 800 in Pollachi and adjacent areas, summing up to a total of 1,300 personnel for his safety.
