Chennai, Feb 23 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, M.K. Stalin, is scheduled to visit Kanyakumari district on February 24 to engage in a series of official events and unveil significant development projects.

As per a statement from R. Mahesh, the DMK Secretary for Kanyakumari East and Mayor of Nagercoil Corporation, the Chief Minister will leave Chennai via private flight at 10 a.m. and land at Thoothukudi airport.

Subsequently, he will journey by road to Kanyakumari district. A grand reception is planned for 11 a.m. at the Mahadhanapuram four-lane road roundabout in Agastheeswaram Town Panchayat. This reception will be organized by the DMK’s Kanyakumari East district unit, led by R. Mahesh.

At noon, CM Stalin will inaugurate the Silver Jubilee Memorial Arch, which was constructed at the cost of Rs 1.45 crore near the Government Guest House in Kanyakumari. This arch commemorates the 25th anniversary of the Thiruvalluvar statue and aims to boost the tourism and cultural value of this landmark.

Later in the evening at 5:30 p.m., the Chief Minister will unveil a statue of M. Karunanidhi and showcase memorabilia related to CM Stalin at Kalladivilai in Nagercoil. At 6:30 p.m., he will also unveil a statue of Ponnappa Nadar at the S.C.P. Ramasamy Iyer Memorial Park complex at Neppamoodu Junction in Nagercoil.

CM Stalin will spend the night at the Government Guest House in Nagercoil. On February 25, he will participate in a significant government function at 9 a.m. at the Concordia School Ground in Nagercoil.

During this event, the Chief Minister is expected to inaugurate completed development projects and lay foundation stones for new initiatives under various state welfare schemes.

After the event, he will return by road to Thoothukudi airport and depart for Chennai by flight at 12:30 p.m. The district unit has urged party officials at all levels—including state and district executives, general council members, and various secretaries—to participate in all events during the Chief Minister’s visit.
