Bhopal, Sep 22 (NationPress) Taking the lead in the 'Swadeshi' initiative within the state, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav toured around a dozen establishments, including jewelry and textile shops, engaging in discussions with traders in Bhopal on Monday.

During his interactions and brief speeches at various locations, the Chief Minister highlighted the new Goods and Services Tax (GST) rates that have been implemented from the very first day of Navratri, referring to this period as a 'savings festival'.

He navigated through the market from the Somwara area police outpost to Deepali Saree House, placing “GST Savings Festival” stickers on shops and interacting warmly with both shopkeepers and shoppers.

The Chief Minister was also observed conversing with female buyers, who expressed their satisfaction regarding the recent GST rate reductions. CM Yadav stressed that these newly introduced GST cuts will lead to increased savings and prosperity for the populace.

"Prime Minister Narendra Modi has bestowed upon the citizens of India a gift of savings through the reduction of GST rates. This initiative by the Central government is akin to a Diwali gift for the people," Yadav remarked while addressing the market in Bhopal.
