Lucknow, Jan 26 (NationPress) On the momentous occasion of the 76th Republic Day, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, raised the national flag at his official residence, extending heartfelt greetings to the citizens of the state.
During his address, the UP CM remarked, "The Constitution of India motivates us to uphold the values of justice, equality, and fraternity. It has effectively brought together the entire nation in both trying and favorable times."
He noted that on this historic day, India began a new chapter as a sovereign, prosperous, and democratic Republic.
“As we commemorate 75 years since the implementation of the Indian Constitution, I pay homage to the illustrious sons of Bharat Mata on this significant day,” he stated.
The Chief Minister underscored that the Indian Constitution is the supreme guide to ensuring justice for every individual. He emphasized that the Constitution nurtures the vision of a united India where justice is served without bias, allowing every citizen to contribute to the nation’s advancement.
The CM reiterated that the dream of a developed India can only be achieved by embracing the principles set forth in the Indian Constitution.
“Today, as we reflect on the original document of the Constitution of India, we can grasp the profound essence of Indian culture,” he remarked.
He expressed pride in India's identity as the world’s largest democracy, where all citizens are equal and have been granted the right to vote from the very beginning.
He contrasted this with numerous contemporary democracies that have faced issues of racial discrimination or have denied voting rights to women and marginalized groups. “India has ensured universal suffrage since its inception,” he stated.
The CM further called upon citizens to fulfill their responsibilities, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of transforming India into a developed nation within the next 25 years. He asserted that this collective ambition can be realized through concerted efforts and adherence to constitutional values.
Highlighting the inclusive nature of the Constitution, the Chief Minister noted that it bestows equal rights upon every citizen, regardless of caste, religion, language, or gender.
