Collaborative Efforts Between India and the US to Develop Advanced Semiconductor Technologies: NSA Sullivan

New Delhi, Jan 6 (NationPress) IIT Delhi welcomed Jake Sullivan, the US National Security Advisor (NSA), on Monday. He expressed that both nations are collaborating to create next-generation semiconductors, significantly enhancing the diplomatic relationship between these two allies.
While addressing attendees at IIT Delhi, Sullivan stated, "Being here at IIT Delhi with young technologists, entrepreneurs, and policymakers who will take this generational project forward, I have every reason to believe that within the next decade, we will see American and Indian firms working together to build the next generation of semiconductor technologies, American and Indian astronauts conducting cutting-edge research and space exploration together, American and Indian researchers contributing to a new explosion and lifesaving vaccines, American and Indian engineering students developing innovations together right here at IIT Delhi, and American and Indian leaders propelling our partnership and our future torque with the American statesman and scientists."
This event at IIT Delhi was organized in collaboration with the I-Hub Foundation for Cobotics (IHFC), the technology innovation hub of IIT Delhi. The IIT Delhi Director, Rangan Banerjee, emphasized the ongoing connections between American institutions and IIT Delhi, showcasing several bilateral collaborations.
From IIT Delhi's over 4000 publications last year, more than 25 percent were with international partners, with the highest representation being 8 percent involving the US.
Sullivan delivered an enlightening talk on 'The United States and India: Building a Shared Future'.
He addressed a notable audience at IIT Delhi, setting a positive tone for joint technology development in the academic sphere for both nations.
The audience comprised guests from the US Embassy, industry representatives, faculty, and students of IIT Delhi.
His focus was on the advancement of the India-US strategic partnership and the exploration of future alliances aimed at further strengthening bilateral relations.
IIT Delhi remains at the forefront of innovative solutions and groundbreaking technologies.
The institute's ongoing collaborations with US academia and industry are likely to grow, with discussions in progress for additional cooperative efforts.

Narayanan D. Kurur, Dean of Academics at IIT Delhi, highlighted US Ambassador Eric Garcetti's first visit and Sullivan's final visit to India as the US NSA.
