New Delhi, Feb 8 (NationPress) Following the victory of the party candidate in the Milkipur Assembly election in Uttar Pradesh, Bharatiya Janata Party leader and vice chairperson of UP Women’s Commission Aparna Yadav declared it a triumph for the common man.
In a conversation with IANS, Aparna Yadav remarked, “The Ram Rajya has been established in Milkipur. Chandrabhanu Paswan emerged victorious under the leadership of Yogi ji and Modi ji. I met numerous citizens and also extend my gratitude to the Yadav brothers and sisters. Milkipur did not fall for any untruth or jumla. It was a win for the common man.”
Addressing Akhilesh Yadav’s comments regarding the Election Commission, she stated, “The Election Commission is a significant body. The Supreme Court has advised against making remarks on the Commission's verdict. When you win, you don’t claim it was the Commission's fault; when you lose, you point fingers at the Commission. One must examine their own shortcomings. We ought to uphold the Commission's decisions. The Commission is unbiased… It does not favor any side.”
In the Milkipur Assembly bypoll, BJP candidate Chandrabhanu Paswan made headlines with an impressive victory margin of 42,886 votes, breaking previous records and achieving a significant win in a constituency that has been active since 1967.
Regarding the election outcomes in Delhi, Aparna Yadav commented, “I am not taken aback by these results. The effort we put in warranted public support. The developmental initiatives spearheaded by Modi ji are reflected in these outcomes. Those who previously believed that Delhi would remain under their control faced a strong rebuttal today.”
In parallel, the BJP is poised for a monumental victory in Delhi after a span of 26 years. Six hours into the vote counting, the BJP was leading in 47 out of 70 seats while the AAP was ahead in 23. The Congress seemed likely to finish with no seats.
