Gaya, Oct 19 (NationPress) As the Bihar Assembly elections gain momentum, internal strife within Congress has emerged in Magadh. Gaya District Council President and party leader Naina Kumari has fiercely criticized the state leadership, accusing it of betraying the party's ideology and Rahul Gandhi's vision of social justice.
While speaking to reporters, Naina Kumari expressed, "Among the supporters, workers, and Congress family members who believe in the people's leader Rahul Gandhi, there is immense sorrow and anger today. In Bihar, some party leaders have blatantly betrayed Rahul Gandhi's vision, thoughts, and efforts for the public."
She condemned the seat-sharing arrangement under the Mahagathbandhan, highlighting that out of the seven seats allocated to Congress in the region, six were assigned to candidates from the general category, leaving only one for the reserved category.
"In the land of Magadh, where the voices of justice, equality, and fairness have been traditionally strong, allocating six out of seven seats to the General class and only one to the Reserved class under the alliance is not only unbalanced but also contradicts the fundamental principles of Congress ideology. This decision is against the essence of social justice," she stated.
Naina Kumari also accused Bihar in-charges Rajesh Ram, Krishna Alavaru, and Devendra Yadav of biased conduct and manipulation in the distribution of tickets.
"These leaders have undermined Rahul Gandhi's policies and vision. They have engaged in numerous malpractices regarding ticket distribution. Rahul Gandhi has always championed justice for the most marginalized in society. Yet, some leaders in Bihar who are politicizing in his name are deceiving Rahul Gandhi by exploiting his name. This also represents a betrayal of the hard work, hopes, and loyalty of countless workers," she claimed.
She emphasized that Congress has historically advocated for backward classes, extremely backward classes, and minorities, yet the current ticket distribution indicates that "some leaders have compromised these very principles."
"Jananayak Rahul Gandhi asserted that women, backward classes, extremely backward classes, and minorities must be integrated into the mainstream. As a woman from an extremely backward community, I feel deeply insulted and saddened that my rightful share was awarded to someone else. This is a grave insult to us, showing that some leaders have forsaken the party's policies for personal gain. We vehemently condemn this practice," she added.
Calling for immediate corrective action, Naina Kumari urged the Congress high command to thoroughly review the situation and restore social balance in Magadh.
