Jaipur, May 29 (NationPress) Rajasthan BJP President Madan Rathore stated on Thursday that the Congress and its leaders should exhibit true patriotism following the arrest of Saleh Mohammad's Personal Assistant on espionage charges linked to Pakistan.
He urged for an in-depth investigation into all individuals associated with the government employee detained on espionage allegations in Jaisalmer.
The accused, Shakur Khan, previously served as the Personal Assistant to a Minister in the past Ashok Gehlot-led Congress administration.
BJP leader Rathore underscored the gravity of the situation, noting that personal assistants to Ministers have access to sensitive government data.
"If such individuals forge connections with hostile nations and divulge classified information, it poses a significant threat to national security," he declared during a media interaction.
He continued, "It is crucial to uncover who he interacted with, which channels he utilized, and identify his known associates. Strict action must be enforced against everyone involved."
BJP leader Rathore also criticized the Congress leadership, asserting, "Congress leaders ought to display patriotism. The concerned Minister should have sounded alarms when his Personal Assistant repeatedly traveled to Pakistan. Suspicion should have escalated if any connections to ISI were evident."
Labeling the incident as unfortunate, the State BJP President expressed his awareness of the arrest of the former Minister's Personal Assistant on Thursday and reiterated the call for a comprehensive and unbiased inquiry.
