Bengaluru, Sep 6 (NationPress) In response to allegations made by BJP MLA Janardhana Reddy, who linked him to the Dharmasthala case, Tamil Nadu Congress MP Sasikanth Senthil, a former IAS officer from Karnataka, has vehemently denied any involvement in the mass grave incident.
Sasikanth Senthil has initiated a defamation lawsuit against MLA Reddy and others at the City Civil Court in Bengaluru.
Addressing reporters outside the courtroom on Saturday, MP Senthil remarked, “Initially, I contemplated whether to respond to such frivolous allegations. However, with new stories emerging daily, I believe it is now appropriate to pursue legal action. I have dedicated a decade to Karnataka. Are you aware of the individual making these accusations against me?”
Senthil continued, “This is the individual who plundered Karnataka’s resources and spent seven years behind bars. He has brought disgrace to our state on a national level.”
“I have not even been provided with a residence in Delhi. Yet claims are being made that the complainant and others transported a skull to my residence in Delhi. I have no knowledge concerning the skull related to the Dharmasthala case. Perhaps MLA Janardhana Reddy is more informed,” Senthil commented.
“I have been enduring the onslaught of right-wing politics. Associating me with this case is utterly unfounded, reckless, and juvenile. Do they possess any evidence? Just one piece? Responding to such baseless claims is quite challenging,” he stated.
“The narrative suggesting that a sitting MP is wandering with a skull to lend it to others for ulterior motives is an insult to the public's intellect. My stance opposes right-wing politics and the politics of hatred. I refuse to conform to it. The right is portraying me as if I am against religion and the nation,” Senthil expressed.
“However, if this is executed with coordination, it may be politically motivated. I am confronting them across various platforms—political, social media, and beyond,” he asserted.
When queried about his supposed connections with complainant Chinnaiah from Tamil Nadu, Senthil responded, “Numerous individuals have migrated from Tamil Nadu to Karnataka. If we apply this logic, there is another IPS officer in Tamil Nadu (K. Annamalai) who could easily acquire a skull.”
“There is an overarching conspiracy in this case. I have filed a criminal defamation lawsuit, and I invite them to present their evidence regarding the skull in court,” Senthil concluded.
Sasikanth Senthil previously served in Karnataka as an IAS officer before voluntarily retiring and entering politics.
Earlier, Janardhana Reddy had alleged that Tamil Nadu MP Sasikanth Senthil was complicit in the Dharmasthala case and acted as the mastermind behind activists and YouTubers attacking the Dharmasthala temple town. “Sasikanth Senthil is the primary architect behind the propaganda against Dharmasthala. He orchestrated a conspiracy while serving as the Deputy Commissioner of Mangaluru district,” MLA Reddy claimed.
“Sasikanth Senthil opposes Hindus. When he was Deputy Commissioner of Mangaluru, he issued statements against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). He also opposed Article 370 and the National Citizenship Registry (NRC),” Reddy alleged.
“The individual who opposed Article 370, NRC, and CAA also participated in a convention of the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) and made anti-Hindu statements. Videos supporting this claim are available,” Reddy stated.
“Being closely aligned with the Congress high command, he is meddling in the Dharmasthala affair. He should be subjected to an investigation,” Reddy demanded.
