  • Political tensions between BJP and Congress are highlighted by this incident.
  • Both parties have accused each other of ulterior motives.
  • The case has garnered national attention due to its implications.

Ballary (Karnataka), Sep 6 (NationPress) In light of the recent criminal defamation suit filed by Congress MP Sasikanth Senthil from Tamil Nadu, which ties him to the Dharmasthala case, prominent mining magnate and BJP MLA G. Janardhana Reddy expressed his willingness to confront the allegations. Reddy asserted, “Sasikanth Senthil should be subject to an investigation by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) that is currently examining the mass grave incident.”

During a press conference in Ballari on Saturday, Reddy further stated: “The state government is backing him, making it challenging to investigate Senthil. Therefore, a thorough inquiry by the NIA or CBI into the Dharmasthala case is imperative, especially given the presence of a propaganda team operating across state lines.”

“It is crucial to investigate potential foreign involvement,” he added.

“The Dharmasthala matter is under scrutiny not just in Karnataka, but nationwide. It has offended Hindu sentiments, with various individuals attempting to tarnish the reputation of the temple town, including YouTuber Sameer, who garnered over a million views with his video about the Saujanya case.

“Individuals like 'mask man' Chinnaiah have attempted to propagate falsehoods against Dharmasthala. Numerous conspiracy theories have been circulated but debunked by the media,” Reddy claimed.

“I previously stated that MP Sasikanth Senthil orchestrates these events. ‘Mask man’ Chinnaiah hails from Tamil Nadu. Senthil resigned after aligning with leftist and anti-national entities and subsequently won on a Congress ticket. Now, he has initiated a defamation suit against me, which I am prepared to face,” Reddy remarked.

“I have encountered defamation suits before, having navigated such challenges during my tenure as a newspaper editor and through my political career. If MP Sasikanth Senthil were innocent, he would have approached the Chief Minister to request a CBI investigation into the mass grave case. Instead, he appears intent on undermining the BJP in the coastal area,” Reddy charged.

In response to the accusations from Janardhana Reddy, Tamil Nadu Congress MP Sasikanth Senthil, a former Karnataka cadre IAS officer, vehemently denied any involvement in the mass grave incident and has also pursued a defamation lawsuit against Reddy in the City Civil Court in Bengaluru.

Speaking to reporters outside the City Civil Court in Bengaluru on Saturday, MP Senthil remarked, “I initially chose to remain silent, contemplating whether to respond to such ridiculous claims. However, with new stories emerging daily, I believe it is time to take legal action. I dedicated a decade of service in Karnataka. Do you know the individual making these accusations?”

Senthil added: “He is the one who exploited Karnataka’s resources and spent seven years in prison, bringing disgrace to the state on a national level.”

“I haven’t even received a residence allocation in Delhi, yet claims arise suggesting that the complainant and others transported a skull to my Delhi home. I have no knowledge of any skull connected to the Dharmasthala case. Perhaps, Gangavathi MLA Janardhana Reddy possesses that information,” Senthil noted.

“I have long faced right-wing political attacks. Any association with this case is utterly unfounded, reckless, and immature. They assume they can make statements at will. Where is the evidence? Just one piece? It’s challenging to respond to such baseless allegations,” he concluded.

Point of View
