Construction of Three Flyovers Along the Gurugram-Faridabad Corridor

Gurugram, Jan 4 (NationPress) To address traffic congestion, three flyovers are slated for construction at Ghata Mor, Khushbu Chowk DLF, and Pali Chowk Crusher Zone on the Gurugram-Faridabad State Highway.

The Public Works Department (PWD) officials have indicated that the Detailed Project Report (DPR) has been prepared by the consultant for this initiative.

All necessary formalities will soon be finalized by the PWD Department before submitting the report to the Haryana government for further approval.

According to the officials, the successful completion of this project is expected to offer significant relief to commuters traveling between these two key districts.

It is noteworthy that every day, thousands of individuals commute from Faridabad to Gurugram for work.

Over 50,000 commuters endure difficult experiences due to traffic jams, particularly at Ghata Mor, Bandhwari Red Light, and Pali Chowk on the Faridabad Road.

The state government is actively pursuing a strategy to ensure a jam-free Gurugram-Faridabad roadway.

In a recent meeting with the consultant, PWD officials are preparing to finalize the DPR. However, the consultant noted that land acquisition will be necessary for the flyover construction.

The PWD has requested the consultant to provide additional details, including the total land area required at all three locations. Presently, the Gurugram-Faridabad road is designed as a four-lane thoroughfare.

"Discussions were held with the consultant about all three flyovers. The DPR will soon be finalized and forwarded to the state government for approval. The estimated construction cost for these flyovers is projected to be around Rs 35 to 40 crore," stated Charandeep Singh, Executive Engineer of PWD.
