New Delhi, July 4 (NationPress) In a remarkable achievement, one student secured a perfect 100 percentile in four subjects, while 17 students achieved the same in three subjects in the results of the CUET-UG 2025 - Common University Entrance Test (Undergraduate), as announced by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on Friday, according to an official statement.
Out of the 13 lakh candidates who sat for the exam across two phases on May 13 and June 4, students can now access and download their scorecards from the official NTA website, cuet.nta.nic.in.
The recent results reveal that 150 students attained a perfect score in two subjects, while 2,679 students scored 100 percentile in one subject.
The NTA published the final answer key for the examination on July 1, 2025, after which 27 questions were removed following feedback from examinees.
This year, 13.54 lakh students registered for CUET-UG 2025, an increase from 11.13 lakh last year.
The examinations were conducted for first-year college admissions in over 260 universities nationwide, including all Central universities. The test covered 37 subjects and was administered in 13 languages at 300 centres across the country.
The NTA confirmed that the results were calculated based on the final answer key.
Scores are being forwarded to universities, and students are encouraged to keep in contact with their chosen institutions for the next steps, as advised by the NTA.
Students should now await the counseling process and cut-off lists from their selected universities, which will create the merit list based on these results.
The exams for chemistry, biology, English, and general studies were held on May 14 at 2,157 centres nationwide.
A total of 6,43,752 candidates took the chemistry test at 1,640 centres, while 3,63,067 candidates appeared for the biology test. The English exam had 8,62,209 participants, and 7,21,986 candidates sat for general studies across 1,892 centres.
On May 14, after the initial day of CUET-UG was successfully conducted nationwide, UGC Chairman M. Jagadesh Kumar remarked, "This is a significant accomplishment by the NTA to conduct CUET-UG on such a grand scale on a single day. The meticulous planning of the NTA deserves commendation for ensuring the smooth execution of the test in pen-and-paper mode."
Given that students undertook multiple tests, this is equivalent to managing 25,91,014 students on a single day, accounting for 44.71 percent of all scheduled slots for students registered in the pen-and-paper format.
However, the tests for four papers scheduled at 258 centres in Delhi on May 14 were postponed due to logistical challenges beyond the NTA's control. Consequently, new admit cards were issued to the affected students in Delhi.
