“The Diwali fair at the Delhi Secretariat stands as a testament to women's empowerment and pride in Swadeshi. These handmade Swadeshi items not only reflect hard work but also embody the spirit of ‘Vocal for Local’. Kudos to the Department of Women and Child Development for organizing this wonderful event,” the Chief Minister noted in a post on X.

In another message, she remarked, “Today, the Delhi Secretariat shines with the brilliance of indigenous products and the self-reliance of dedicated women. The exhibition and fair, organized by the Women and Child Development Department, showcased handmade products from women entrepreneurs and self-help groups across various regions of Delhi.”

Earlier, Minister for Social Welfare Ravinder Indraj Singh and Water Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh convened a review meeting with Delhi Jal Board officials concerning ongoing sewer projects in Bawana.

Water Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh instructed the Delhi Jal Board to complete the work with urgency and ensure quality compliance.

The Social Welfare Minister expressed concern that the sewer projects under Shahbad GOC and Begampur GOC remain unfinished.

Residents are suffering from incomplete sewer lines, overflow, and unsanitary conditions. The delays have also impeded other developmental projects, such as roads and drains.
